An Update from Jimmy Buffett

Jimmy Buffett posted an update on Friday May 19th. He’s heading home to Sag Harbor on Saturday for some rest and recovery for his hospitalization. Then he will be heading to the Bahamas for a fishing trip with some old friends. Once he is in shape he will announce a new date for Charleston as well as some new shows. Buffett said “I think playing is as therapeutic for me as it is for fans to listen and sing along”.

      1. When you are a musician, that is the best life you can live; money is secondary. Unless you are really popular; you never play for the money. It’s in your soul; the satisfaction of enjoying what you do every day.
        I’m in my 62nd year, and still entertaining. You never say I’m going to work. I love every minute.

I know you love to play for us but take your time and get your health back, your fans will always be there for you, and there are more of them every day! I just returned from an epic fishing trip to Baja and I listen to your music on the road and on the boat, it never gets old for me. It is part of my medicine to stay healthy 😁.     I hope it never ends. I woukd say take some Jimmy time. But we all know you’ve been (working and playing) your whole career.

When i was introduced to yoy backstage at Irvine Meadows by our mutual friend Justin Keller, i was so impressed with your easy going nature and great attitude. When they announced that you were going to be there again my son knew how important it was for me to come see you how badly I wanted to go so he bought my tickets I live in North Carolina now any time I’m on the road traveling from North Carolina to Charleston South Carolina you travel with me on the Jimmy Buffett radio station.   30. So happy to hear you are better! I am a big Parrott head fan. For years I go to every concert I can. I moved to Florida 61 years ago! First concert I saw was in Lakelan fl. There was a Palm tree ,sand, a bar stool and a drink. Your music is so Florida! Enjoy your rest my friend!❤️

    I hope you continue to heal and (eventually) find your way back to the stage! You’ve lifted the spirits of so many people worldwide, but especially here in Maine and New England. Even if you hang it up now, the lives of so many will forever be positively affected by your music and demeanor.

  41. Back in 2000 I received a diagnosis giving me 5 years, forcing me to cancel a booked Buffett Concert in Vegas. A friend notified Jimmy of my plight and Jimmy sent me a personally autographed “Get Well Leonard, Fins UP! Jimmy” photo. That was a great motivator for me. Not Yet! Get Well Jimmy, Fins UP! Leonard

Love to meet you when yoUr in Charleston SC as you used to play downtown 40 years ago I think was the blue parrot and at that time you played at the college of Charleston and I was in a band that was to open for you but you didn’t need us (3 way street band) so we got front row seats.
