The early risers were hoping to see singer Jimmy Buffett, a Palm Beach resident and investor in the local shop. He missed the opening, but sent his sister, Lucy, in his place. “We’re a big family of eaters,” Lucy Buffett said. “We like our food, honey. “In Mobile, where we grew up, we used to sell Krispy Kremes on the street corners. Now we have a bait shop in Fair Hope, Ala. Besides live shrimp, bait worms and crickets, we have Krispy Kremes.”
