TIckets outside of venue

Post by sarabismom »

I am thinking of heading to the Vegas show. I have seen Jimmy numerous times in various states and in Canada, but never in Vegas. I do not have tickets now, and will not pay "scalper" prices on line. In almost all of the venues I have been at there are people (scalpers) selling tickets in the lot at, or close to, face value because they want to unload them. Now, I know what the feeling is about scalpers here, however in the opnion of those who have been to Vegas for a show, how hard would it be to get tickets outside the venue there?

In Waikiki last year, I needed a ticket for my 'keet and there were some people trying to sell a $150 front row ticket for $300 . . .
I told them I give them $160 for it and they said no . . . I told them that the show was starting in 10 minutes and as soon as it started the ticket would be worthless, plus they would be standing outside trying to sell it instead of being inside for the show . . . I took one more loop around the crowd and came back to them and offered $155 . . . I think they caught on at that point, 'cuz my 'keet ended up front row, about 10' from Nadirah and Tina!

People who ask me what I’m doing tomorrow probably assume that I even know what day of the week it is.

Go to the box office around noon on the day of the show. There should be tickets available then.

Or you can do what I did at Jones Beach in August. Wait until 5 minutes after the show starts and pay a scalper $20 for a $96 ticket.
