Window on the World?

Wow - it's been a long time since I've posted on here and with a new album out that actually gets my Buffett blood flowing again (for me, it's been a long time since Barometer Soup

), I wanted to ask - do you folks out there have any ideas to the meaning of the new song, "Window on the World"?

It's a great John Hiatt song, from HIatts' latest album "Beneath This Gruff Exterior"

I love it but I still haven't figured it out.

I haven’t really figured it out yet, but one theory is that the singer never saw many positive things the world had to offer until he had that particular girlfriend. The same concept as the Beatles “Till There Was You” if you will.

Again, just a theory.

Not that this is what the original meaning was, but for me....

Window on the World talks about how we each see the world. Things that either block or enhance or view point. I don't know, just my opinion.
