The hockey season started yesterday but the Carolina Hurricanes don't open their season until tonight. The game is on ESPN+ instead of the local cable sports channel so I can't watch it.

I'm stuck at the front desk (think receptionist) all day in the hospital, instead of my office/desk. It was planned, rather than a call off, so that helped get me organized to be able to do SOME work while sitting here. People are annoying me already.

We'll be seeing Zac Brown Friday night, and we decided to stay at a hotel within walking distance. Will get supplies (adult beverages) purchased and start a little packing tonight and tomorrow.

Shoot Larry, our Red Wings don't start until tomorrow Hopefully they'll be worth the wait.

Our local "Junior" team the Firebirds have started the season losing 11-3, 8-0 & 7-3...the last 2 at home They have the same goaltender that was their main goaltender at year end from last season, however looks like they only have 1 of their top 4-5 defensemen back. They actually fired their coach after game 2. Something doesn't seem right with that. We ARE talking kids mostly ranging in age from 17-19 with a few 16 year old's & 20 year old's sprinkled in. Management with this franchise has had it's issues since coming into the league 8 years ago so wondering if something behind the scenes had an impact on the firing.

I wanted to watch the Vegas game last night, it was the last of the 3 games on ESPN. Game time was supposed to be 10:30 but it didn't start until 11:15. I set the DVR instead of staying up to watch the game. I turned it on this morning, watched the first period then started fast forwarding through the intermission. The recording just stopped so I missed the rest of the game.

Astros play game 4 today. The start time was 3:10 and then 1:10.. But has changed to 6:10 because Rangers won 3 in a row. So we get the prime time spot!! WooHoooooo!!!!!
Sure hope they win.

It must have rained during the night. We need the moisture but would love to see the sun.

These cool cloudy days already have me dreading February. Funds like blah weather through at least Saturday.

The Firebirds firing seemed odd; especially as the new head coach tried to sound convincing on the news. I don’t follow it closely but noticed the news clip.
