Ever the businessman.........

Post by Pleasin & Teasin »

I'm not sure how thiss relates to the TM/LN relationship, but was interested to read this article in the Wall Street Journal:

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123672740386088613.html

By clicking on the Tickets Now link here on Buffett News i see that apparently Mr Buffett and/or his managers are actively participating in this method of selling tickets...

not sure what i think of it...what do you?

Ticketmaster says TicketExchange shouldn't be considered scalping. It says the site's "goal is to give the most passionate fans fair and safe access to the best tickets."

TicketMaster. Where Passion is measure in $$$$.

Money talks, and bullshït walks.
I learned this a long time ago. Guess it's even more true now than it was then.

I started to read the article, and I stopped. I suppose I don't want to know, because it's not going to change a thing and it'll just p*ss me off.... :-?

I honestly have less of a problem with this than I do with small time scalpers. The artist gets paid what the buyer thinks the tickets are worth, and if they're not worth it, they go back on TM last minute. No one has to get a ticket to a concert, no one has to pay extra to get a good seat, but if people weren't willing to do so, the company and artist wouldn't offer the service.
