Sad to share the news of the passing of Steve Huntington. Steve served as the first program director for Radio Margaritaville when it first started as an internet radio station and was an on-air radio personality for 25 years.
Steve Huntington joined The Paul Leslie Hour for an interview:
Are you here? You meaning, the listener, and here being: The Paul Leslie Hour. Welcome to episode number 1,011 featuring special guest Steve Huntington!
Long-standing broadcaster Steve Huntington served as both program director and on-air radio personality. And what a great presence on the airwaves he is! Steve has had quite an experience and added to the enjoyment and interest of people from coast to coast and beyond through terrestrial radio, as well as online and satellite radio.
For many of you, Steve Huntington is who you think of when you think about Jimmy Buffett’s Radio Margaritaville. To us, he’ll always be “the voice of Radio Margaritaville,” but of course that’s just our opinion.
Sail on, Steve.
|\s up and 🫧’s up forever.
Thanks for everything.
I had the honor of working with Steve at WLOQ in the mid 90s, and as a matter of fact, he was the one that turned me on to the music of Jeff Buckley! Gifted me a cutout of his first record for Christmas 1995. An amazing soul I won’t soon forget. Rest Well, brother !
Oh, no, Steve.
It was so much fun working with him at WLOQ. He loved his Orangemen. RIP, my friend. 😥🌹
