Buffett performs at Alpine Valley

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band finished the summer leg of the “I Don’t Know” tour last night with a show at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy WI.

The set list from the show is now available. Some of the songs played included “Rhumba Man”, “Son Of A Son Of A Sailor (featuring G. Love on harmonica), and “We Are The People Our Parents Warned Us About”.

Buffett performs at KAABOO Del Mar on September 16th then he travels to Paris for two shows at La Cigale on September 23 and 24th.

  2. It was a great show and a great tailgate party, but I don’t entirely agree that it was predictable or generic. Sure he played the standard crowd pleasers, but Rhumba Man, Piece of Work, Bama Breeze and especially The Tiki Bar is Open were unexpected. I am disappointed, however, that he did not play “I Don’t Know and I Don’t Care” and “I Don’t Know (Spicoli’s Theme),” since it was the “I Don’t Know” tour. Oh… and Barometer Soup (one of my personal favorites). I watched earlier shows from this tour on Margaritaville TV and those songs were included in the set lists.

  3. Generic? Boring? Predictable? Horrible? How about all of the above. Heres this years set list and below that is the 2006 set list. 15 of the 24 songs this year were played in 2006. I walked out on the first note of Margaritaville. There were hordes of people doing the same. Why dont he figure out that no one wants to hear the same old garbage. That was my last JB concert. Hopefully the old Coot retires cause it is a great time til he opens his mouth.
