Update:From KeysNews.com: “Lucky 200 attend Buffett performance”

Singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett rolled out his musical road map of Key West and Stock Island during an unpublicized concert at Margaritaville Thursday night.

Buffett, along with guitar player Mac McAnally, performed a special acoustic performance for his employees, friends and fans.

Buffett focused on songs written in or about Key West and Stock Island, including “A Pirate Looks at Forty,” “Trying to Reason with Hurricane Season” and “Grapefruit Juicy Fruit,” which he called the “national anthem of Stock Island”. Buffett also debuted a new song called “We’ve Got a lot to Drink About”.

Update: Travelogged mentions more about the new song in a blog:

When Buffet introduced his song “Margaritaville”, he said “It’s a good thing I wrote this or we’d all be out of work.” (He was talking to the staff of Margaritaville and his entourage, I think.) Indeed, the recession seemed to be weighing heavily on his mind. Buffett played a new song — twice — called “We’ve Got a Lot to Drink About” that referenced madoff, subprime loans and Citigroup buying jets with bailout money. The refrain went: “Depression, recession, good God, CNN stop bumming me out.”
