Galveston Island (Texas) residents were asked this question: If Galveston were a famous person, who would it be, and why?
Topping the list of responses was — Jimmy Buffett, the laid-back singer who has made a fortune selling CDs to his legion of baby boomer fans known as Parrotheads, singing oddball ditties about drinking, hamburgers and hanging around the beach.
