The NJ Star Ledger has an article "Louisiana on their minds that mentions Buffett will be doing a duet for the new Little Feat album that will be released this fall.
Shaun Murphy says the band has been working on an album that would feature new versions of old Little Feat songs with guest singers as well as new material.
She revealed only one duet partner: Jimmy Buffett, at whose Key West studio the album’s basic tracks were recorded. But she promised the album will be "a big free-for-all, like Jimmy’s last record (the 2004 guest-filled ‘License To Chill’)."
The band hopes to release the album this fall, Murphy says. Little Feat keyboardist Billy Payne and longtime Buffett collaborator Mac McAnally are producing.
