The Hoot soundtrack will be released April 18th on Mailboat Records.
"Buffett has recorded two new songs: "Good Guys Win" and "Barefootin’", a duet with his "It’s 5’O Clock Somewhere" partner Alan Jackson. Buffett also contributes covers of Warren Zevon’s "Werewolves of London" and Bruce Cockburn’s "Wondering Where the Lions Are", as well as a reggae version of his own "Floridays.""
The album is rounded out by Maroon 5’s cover of Bill Withers’ "Lovely Day" with Withers on background vocals and tracks by reggae pioneers Toots and the Maytals, Philadelphia soul singer G. Love, and Jacksonville, Fla.-based swamp rockers Mofro. The movie’s score features slide guitarist Sonny Landreth and ukulele artist Jake Shimabukuro.
