I recently had the opportunity to ask author Kathleen Shaputis a few questions on her new book "Changes in Attitude"
What inspired you to write your book?
As an author, I usually have music playing in the background while I write. As the characters began to develop in my romantic comedy "Changes in Attitude" Jimmy Buffett’s tunes flavored every chapter. Some of the characters understood the steel drum, laid back songs, some did not–what an interesting revelation.
How long have you and your husband been fans of Jimmy Buffett?
My husband, Bob, and I have been Parrot Heads for decades. I celebrated his 40th birthday with paper mache shark fins on each table at the restaurant, and an autographed copy of one of Jimmy’s books as his gift.
When did you first get involved with writing?
I’ve been writing since I was a little girl, but my parents said put away your pens and settle down at a real job. Well, they’re gone now and I’m four books deep into my revised resume and counting. Jimmy teaches us to live our dreams.
