"Rebuilding New Orleans" is this year’s theme! Talk about a party with a purpose! Jerry Diaz has lined up an incredible slate of musicians and the event will include a street party on Bourbon St., crowning of the Pardi Gras king and queen, and a mardi gras style parade from Tropical Isle to Margaritaville!
Additionally, after Katrina, many of the street signs on Bourbon St. simply disappeared. 14 parrothead clubs have donated replacement signs to the city, and there will be an official ceremony with city officials on Saturday, 1/14. What a great thing for parrotheads to do!
