Plans Filed For Complex At Merriweather Post Pavilion

COLUMBIA, Md. — The Rouse Company is going forward with plans to build offices and stores on land that includes the parking area for Columbia’s Merriweather Post Pavilion.
The company has filed the paperwork for the designation of the land. The commercial complex will 800,000 square feet of office space and 400,000 square feet of retail space.
Rouse wants to sell the amphitheater and believes it should be converted to a year-around enclosed concert hall.
