The St. Petersburg Times has an article that mentions the possibility of a new Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant: “Church on parade; burger in paradise” that mentions:
When Buffett signed to open a Margaritaville at Universal Studios in Orlando, he contractually agreed not to open another restaurant within a certain radius of the theme park. However, the Outback folks are working on crafting a new agreement with Universal so it can bring a Cheeseburger in Paradise to town.
With Universal’s parent company reportedly the target of a buyout, there is no definite timetable, but it appears we will have our own slice of paradise in the not too distant future.
