Herman Wouk once wrote of a fictional island in the Caribbean where a fictional PR man from NY City bought a fictional resort and had all kinds of fictional day-to-day problems with his fictional employees and fictional government officials. Jimmy Buffett once wrote the soundtrack to this work of fiction that gave Wouk’s work a 2nd dimension that we’re all familiar with. In fact, Wouk opens the Buffett CD with an espousal of how Kinja, or Amerigo as the tiny country was originally called, came into the 20th century as an apparent “Endless Carnival.”
