From Barry Wight: Jimmy Buffett performed on October 9th at a huge fund-raiser gala to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association. The 2001 Rita Hayworth Gala Alzheimer’s Association fundraiser auction and dance was held at the WALDORF-ASTORIA in NYC.
Among those attending the fundraiser were: Ivana Trump escorted by Robin Leach, football hero Joe Namath, Princess Yasmin Aga Kahn, George Plimpton, Michael Fuchs (movie Exec), baseball great Steve Garvey and wife, and Sorano’s alumni Joe Pantaliano and Nancy.
Sitting at table #41 was Jimmy Buffett, his charming wife Jane, Savannah & Guest.
Jimmy came on around 10:00 pm with the entire Coral Reefer Band.
