The interminable wait for a Krispy Kreme doughnut shop is getting even longer. Jimmy Buffett’s new business slated to go up at the old Apollo restaurant site on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard in West Palm Beach isn’t expected to open before mid-January, said Krispy Kreme marketing executive Stan Parker. He previously said November was the target date. Krispy Kreme is tweaking plans, and it’s taking longer than expected, said Jonathan Satter, Buffett’s broker. eanwhile, Buffett hasn’t endeared himself to nearby
businesses by letting the landscaping go. The Apollo building will be torn down soon, and Satter says he has hired a work crew to make the place look presentable until then.
