Many of today’s rock acts are so worried about Internet piracy that they rarely perform new songs until they are officially released on an album. Artists from Dave Matthews to Jimmy Buffett subscribe to this policy, but going his own way, as usual, is heartland rocker John Mellencamp. “The guys who worry about that stuff have more money than anybody. I mean, Jimmy Buffett has more money than God” says Mellencamp, who headlines the Tweeter Center tonight.
