March Madness Saturday at the MSC

Post by PetalMel »

Good morning everyone!

With the magic of the internet, I know my beloved Spartans made it through the first round. Didn’t do a bracket this year, but I always love to see the upsets so I know which Cinderella team(s) to watch in the second round.

Rainy and cold in Michigan today—maybe more snow?? Haven’t paid attention beyond the weather guessers hinting it will be a good day to binge watch something.

With that, I will waste another hour playing online card games and have another cup of coffee. Then I will consider something productive.

Enjoy! 💕
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......

Hello everyone!

It's another day of "no required activities". However, we/I will continue with the light & easy yard work. Arranging the new landscape blocks around the Crepe Myrtle tree that was also planted last fall. We'll also move the small palm tree/plant outside since our nighttime temps below 35 are over. I have 2 perennials to plant but haven't yet figured where to put them bc they are the new weather ones that I'm not really familiar with. Also a rose bush to plant that a friend gave me bc she doesn't have the right place for it anymore. Most of this is guessing and luck :)

Tonight neighbors are coming by for drinks and perhaps a few rounds of Sequence.

Enjoy your day !

Good morning.

The Hurricanes have an afternoon game today but they're playing on the west coast so I have a few hours to kill before the game starts.

I filled out a bracket online, Hooters does one every year that's free to enter. The high score at each restaurant wins a $50 gift card. After the first 2 days I'm tied for the lead at my local Hooters, which I haven't been to in more than 6 months. I had 14 of 16 games right Thursday and 12 of 16 yesterday. I expect my luck to change as the tournament continues, I'm not a basketball fan and I haven't watched a game all season.

good thing it's breezy or I would never have been able to get most of my outdoor "chores" finished.

after lunch we will attempt to swap out the main bath building grade ceiling "Puck" light with a pendant one we got on AM.
There are 2 more in the box that will eventually replace the same type of lights above the double vanity in our bathroom.
Those 2 will be on hold until after I paint that bathroom. Although I plan to paint the main bathroom it won't be as hard to navigate around that single light. Plus, we are getting a "frame my mirror" for that huge main bathroom mirror. Friends in the townhome community used that brand and it looks great.

I'm mad about this March. The weather will be cold, rainy and windy through the week.

Our bathroom clock died. It has a blue neon tube light around the rim that works. A 5$ clock is now attached over the old one and I still have a fun light in the bathroom at night.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Bryan got up at the crack of dawn to take my car to have the tires rotated, then we got ready and went to the big city to take his Mom out to lunch and to visit. It's been awhile since we've seen her, but we're finally feeling good and she is over the flu as well.
We're back home now, and having an adult beverage. Happy Saturday 😊

Don't your wheels rotate as you drive?

I'd get that looked at. :P 8)
