Final November SUNDAY @ the MSC
Good Morning Everyone!
Today we have nothing scheduled except 10:45 church. We will start gathering/packing things for our Sarasota road trip early Tuesday morning.
Yesterday we met a few HOA Board candidates (there are 15 vying for 5 spots). We had already weeded out some "nos" based on their comments/thoughts posted on our Community FB page.
Just like halloween, some of the neighbors go all out with decorations. We're talking tons of huge blow-up things, very active light displays covering every roof line, window & door. Up north we would have a few beautiful light shows (pull up to the house), park with lights off and tune in a radio station so the lights were synced to Christmas music. That's more my speed .

Good morning, Linda. Today we set up the last part of our town display. The drizzle stopped so we are good to go.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning.
I should probably start checking airfare for my Christmas in Las Vegas trip, I'm leaving 4 weeks from today. I might get 2 one way tickets on different airlines, I don't have enough frequent flyer miles for a roundtrip ticket on any airline.

I could not watch the game up here... probably just as well...
I did follow it online, though. It was not the outcome I was hoping Tommy "Chicken Parm" DeVito would have.
The Pats were not much better... I think it's a race to the bottom between them.
So far only one house in our 'hood is decked out for Christmas. I refuse to put anything up before December 1st. Thanksgiving should get its due before the fat man takes over!

I decorate any time in November that is warm enough, but I don't turn the lights on till Black Friday.Caribbean Soul wrote: ↑November 24, 2024 5:31 pmI could not watch the game up here... probably just as well...

I feel old. I visited with a college friend for the first time in almost 50 years. He taught 43 years, coached football for 37 years and has coached track for 47 years! He's still doing that.
A mutual friend was in oil drilling for years, but had a stroke and can no longer drive. Plus, while in the shower, he was struck by lightning! I feel healthy.

Re: Final November SUNDAY @ the MSC
It was a beautiful day. Warm enough for short sleeves.
We are gathering stuff for our Sarasota Thanksgiving trip. We’ll leave early Tuesday morning since it’s a 10 hr drive. Probably longer due to gas and get out to stretch legs stops.
It’s the same amount of time to go back north which will start on Dec 10. For that trip(both ways) we’ve booked the same Airbnb in Roanoke that we’ve used 2 other times in our trips back and forth from PA and SC when we house hunting down here

Re: Final November SUNDAY @ the MSC
Good evening all.
Slept 'in' until 6:30. Made us a big breakfast. Cleaned up, finished laundry getting everything ready for our trip to Oklahoma. We leave Tuesday from my work at Noon.
We went to a 'fundraiser' for my great nephew at "HalfPenny Brewery", which my nephew and niece hang out at. They had lots of BBQ (homemade) and we had some, donated some $, and visited with my nephew for a bit.
Got home and did a bit more packing stuff, and finally parked on the couch to watch "Major League 3", which we laughed out loud several times.
Off to bed soon. Hope tomorrow goes by quickly, and we'll finish packing tomorrow.
G'night all.

It is the full-on lights extravaganza I have already seen on homes for over a week now that irk me!
