I remember going back the day after Labor Day on LI... I just checked, and my old district went back today, so that has not changed. The school up here is truly stunad this year... They brought the kids in last Thursday and then gave them Friday off for a 4-day Labor Day Weekend!

As I said.. the schools have a lot of days off, so they start earlier in the year than what we were used to

Not everywhere, though... the schools where I grew up are still stating AFTER Labor Day, the way all schools should!
