So here I see at the orthopedic urgent care center. Left thumb/wrist started to bother me last night. I know I have arthritis in this appendage too so I wasn’t alarmed.

Woke up at 2 am in severe pain. Thumb hand and all other fingers swollen. Went downstairs to try to rest. When I cry from pain you know it’s bad.

Can’t let arm hang or pain shoots up to my shoulder.

Apparently this hand did not appreciate my gardening physical activity the past 2 days.

Ive got severe arthritis in this hand now which will lead to another arthroplasty in the not too distant future.
Stopped to grab the steroid pack on the way home. I dislike them. They make me nasty.

Hey Dave! You are soooo right. My left thumb is in sympathy with Linda. For the last few weeks, I can't bend it when I wake up in the morning. It's locked up. After a few minutes of slight movement it gets better, but it locks up throughout the day.

Good morning peoples. Between my shoulder, my knees and my ankle, my body sometimes sounds like the snap, crackle and pop in a bowl of rice krispies but at least it isn't painful.

Astros won 8 out of 9 and have now lost 2 in a row.

The Pelicans are playing the Fayetteville Woodpeckers this week in Fayetteville. Sunday's game starts at 2:05 (the Pelicans never have afternoon games at home) and Fayetteville is only about 100 miles away. I was thinking of going to Sunday's game and spending a couple of days in Fayetteville, I've never been there and they have a World of Beer in town. Then I thought to myself "Self, do you really want to drive on I-95 on Memorial Day weekend?" Maybe I'll check the schedule and see if they have any afternoon games in a different city.
