Shoveling snow. Good morning, Linda and BN. We will travel little today, so I might as well carve slugs.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning Linda, Bill, and Andrea!
Working here till my usual 3:30, then E will be picking me up, and we'll be heading downtown Denver to Ball Arena (where the Nuggets and the Avalanche play) for a DU hockey game. Special event to be able to play there, instead of their home arena. We got comparable seats (as season ticket holders), and a parking pass. Can't wait!

Out of insulation foam board. I have some that's 2" thick. It shapes fast with grinding tools.Saltx3 wrote: ↑January 27, 2023 10:29 amHow does one carve a slug?bodypainter wrote: ↑January 27, 2023 9:03 am Shoveling snow. Good morning, Linda and BN. Re: YAY for FRIDAY @ THE MSC
Good afternoon. Nothing planned other than work this weekend. Maybe go out for dinner, but then again maybe not!
Guess we've got a decent chance of snow later this evening but pretty much guaranteed snow for Saturday late afternnoon/evening into Sunday.
There is a band called The Rock Show playing tonight at a local bar. The good news is they are a real good cover band (they specialize in Journey). The bad news is when they're in town they pack em in....which means you gotta get there couple hours before show time. Hate that when that happens. As much as I'd like to see em I think we're gonna pass.
Happy Friday Gang!

After noon BN'ers.....
Sunny and pushing 60 here, and same for tomorrow. Supposed to be miserable on Sunday with rain and then back into the 70's next. After next week, my travel schedule goes back into hectic mode. Greensboro, Nashville, Birmingham, Tulsa, D.C. & Southern Utah over a period of 9 weeks. We are also taking a short vacation in mid February to take the boat over to Biloxi for some R&R and gaming.
Sort of looking forward to it as I haven't had this type of stretch since before the Kung Flu hit.

Re: YAY for FRIDAY @ THE MSC
Yesterday was a stinker - 105°F + and now it's 7 AM and it is still high 80s.
Today is forecast to be low 90s and stormy tonight. We could do with some rain. We've had about 1/8th of an inch through the gauge since Christmas.
(This converting stuff to Imperial measurements sure is tedious!)
Some good news. We've booked our next tropical sojourn. Sadly it's not where we'd hoped to go (our OPH in Vanuatu) due to the airlines being dickheads (all of them). So we are off to New Caledonia instead. It comes a close second.
Since we have now moved interstate, the extra palaver involved in getting to the islands is a complete PITA, with even more being stuffed around by airlines.

Afternoon BNers
55 here and looks like it could rain any minute.
No plans other than pouring another batch of resin.

Re: YAY for FRIDAY @ THE MSC
I went for a walk in the park. The weather app on my phone says it's only 51 degrees, it felt warmer. On the way home I saw a billboard for a place called The Crazy Mason, the bottom of the billboard says it's a milkshake and dessert bar. I looked at the website when I got home, they serve the milkshakes in mason jars (you can get a smaller one in a cup) and one of them comes with a slice of cheesecake on top of it. I may have to pay a visit to this place.
There are 2 hockey games on at the same time tonight, I'll have to set the DVR for one of them. The Hurricanes are on the local cable sports channel and the Islanders are on ESPN. The Hurricanes have a much better chance of winning so I think I'll watch their game live.
