I do hate that, can’t be express with 30 items.
To be fair, all the big stores, and some smaller ones, have self checkout. But there are usually only 4-6 of those, and a sea of actual registers - with no cashiers on! Can’t really blame the people who get on self-check with tons of produce where each item needs SKU look up/weighing (completely defeats the purpose of quick and easy). And then the store puts a person at the exit to check the receipts? After making customers scan and bag their own purchases? GTFO, you want that kind of quality control then put some more cashiers back on, especially at the holidays!
