TUESDAY is here at the MSC

Post by Saltx3 »

Hello All!

Anything special going on?

Another work day for me but it's a different kind of work day. For a little while I questioned my retirement/part time job decision but I no longer have that concern. While the new gig is VERY NEW in terms of type of work everything is going well. Yesterday I received my first pension check although it was only for the last 2 weeks of October since I retired mid-month. Next week I'll receive a full month. I will be earning more with my pension and part-time job than I was working full-time at the County and I'm working 1.5 days LESS a week :D

Good morning Linda & the BN’ers to come!
Glad for you Linda that the new job is shaking out positively. I bet it’s good to know that your decision was 100% the right move. Less work for more pay is always a good thing. If you’re all good with the job you do!
Hopefully soon you’ll get some relief with your wrist and get back on track with that.

Happy Tuesday everyone

Good morning Linda, and Ken!

That's great news, Linda! :)

All packed back home, and E will be picking me up in about 6 hours. :D He's got the fun job of loading up the car. Although we put a few things in the car when we left since he drove me to work.

My MIL asked me on Sunday to make MY family's dressing. First time ever. :D Then I HAVE to make my breakfast casserole. That's a must whenever we visit.

Off to try and get some work done, and get my 2023 benefits chosen. Such fun.

Good morning. It's supposed to be warmer than yesterday, maybe into the mid 60s, so I'll have to get outside. But first I have to make a couple of phone calls to set up appointments.

Ran into an old friend/co worker at the nail salon. We told each other all of our health issues and laughed out loud. I came home and put fresh linens on the bed. Did a load of laundry. I ran the robot vacuum when I left. Now I'm going to start on my contribution to Thanksgiving dinner and I'm making a Cranberry Swirl Coffee Cake for Thanksgiving breakfast. Too early for a margarita? 🍹🍹🍹 I'm also making Pumpkin Pie Pudding Shots to take to work on Friday.

Afternoon BNers

I got cold during the night...brrr. Also time to plug in the electric blanket. 😂
But the end of next week, it will be almost 80 again!! Gotta love the Gulf coast.

It's cold (48°) and dark and rainy here... After 14 straight days without rain, we're playing catch-up here.
It's pouring... not Texas-like, but we'll probably get an inch or so today.

I'm at Grand Strand Brewing having a Gooooalden Ale, it's very good. The girl behind the bar is cute and she has a nice smile but she's so sloooooow.

Got in my car this morning and it had a flat tire. Plugged in my emergency air pump and
drove it to the nearest tire store. There was a hole in the sidewall, like someone had used
an icepick or something. Didn't know I had any enemies. Tire can't be repaired so I'll be getting
a new tire tomorrow.

my wife came home one day a few weeks back and had what almost looked as a close hanger in the side wall. If the damage within a certain distance anymore from the tread line, they can't repair it by law.....strange, but we had to replace the tire as well.

Not that she doesn't drive like a maniac, yeah, right.....

Hi there! I finished 2 similar beach scenes with footprints heading towards a sunset. Some footprints were made by the daughter of my wife's deceased friend after she scattered her mother's ashes.
