Buffett in Vegas needs to be experienced. There's nothing quite like it. Stay near the Flamingo if not at the Flamingo.
The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.

I did Vegas (and three others) last year and it was different, not better, just different.

My bet is still on June 29th even though FMBA just announced Rush for June 28th. That would be quite the weekend as you can't miss a Rush show! Sounds like Alpine is getting the August show.

It has to get announced soon! And not soon enough!
I can't agree more with this needing to come out. I figured with all of the other shows being announced, we are real close. It's killing me!

Haven't checked in on this thread in a while, sorry I have not kept all in loop. Chicago comiing, wish Alpine would also. Placing bets for Shytown on Northernly Island, tentative 6/29. Alpine bets on August 24.

Enough of winter, bring on the shows:-)

I just looked and Charter One Pavillion on Northerly Island only seats 7,500. I can't imagine he'd play there.

It actually looks like it would be a great place for us Parrotheads! But it does seem a little small for a summer show in Chicago.

I agree, it looks like a great place! I just think it's too small, unless he plans to be there for a couple of nights? O.A.R. is there on the 28th. I know nothing about set-up, etc. for concerts, but I would think it takes at least a day, no?

Never would. Not much parking, and if you do, it will be probably at least $50 if not more. Remember its Chicago, they are looking to legally rape anyone they can. Also why play a venue where you can only sell 7,500 tickets in a major city. Maybe for a charity event, but never for a tour stop.

Naw....not unreal. Just gives you more time to get more money together for the higher prices he will charge.

I would think everyone that is complaining about the lack of an announcement would be used to it by now. The same thing happens year after year!

In years past he has at least announced by now. I looked and in the last 3 years I've already paid for tickets at this point. It's never gone this late. Plus, FMBA and Toyota Park are never this full by now either. The US99 tours are really stealing a lot of the dates. It's either going to be June 29th or June 8th because I don't think he'd schedule Alpine (rumor August 24) and Chicago (late July only open date) a month apart. Money still on June 29th since he'll be in Indy on the 27th. But Rush being at FMBA on the 28th may not allow it.

Love it! While I couldn't see it happening under the current status of Charter One Pavillion, if the proper changes are made, I think it is a PERFECT place for him! Another version of Riverbend in Cincy.

Remember how everyone was fired up about him going to Toyota Park? It turned out to be a great venue. I'd be willing to check out something new. Even thouugh Tinley is only 10 min. from me, I think it's a total dump.

If this is where we will be this summer, I welcome it! And at this point, just give me a date so I can start planning the rest of my summer!

The story says 2 events this summer! Sounds like there may be some merit to the rumor! Lets hope with the release of this story will come the release of the date that Buffett is going to play!

Playing downtown sounds nice, but let's be realistic. The price for tickets will be,outrageous, parking mind numbing, plus any other type of "fee" the city can incour. If everyone thought that tailgating at Toyota sucked, then you never did it downtown for a Bears game. the closest to tailgating would be the lot south of I55 for Mc Cormick place, you can't tailgate in the parking structure next to the Field Museum, it's not allowedand also because it's a partially enclosed structure witch you can't light any grills or any type of flammible material. They say use public transportation, but let's be honest how am I comming from Crest Hill going to get there when I have to park my car at a metra station and then ride there, walk from the station to the event and then back hours later, when I can get in my car and be home in half the time. Everything has it's pro's and cons, Toyota had a nice venue and employees, but crappyroom to tailgate, Tinley had tons of room to tailgate but the employees and sound stinks. So, where ever he decides to go we will have to just s*** it up I guess.......unless it's at Wrigley, then I'll just go to Alpine.
