My gosh, I don’t know what to say. I feel so sad.

I want to give you all a hug.

I’ll find the right words on how much his life has had an impact on me sometime…

Sail on, Bubba. Thanks for all the memories, and giving me and my family a lifetime of music. Thanks for the 20 shows that I’ve been to and thank you for being so good to your fans. 😢

We’ll keep our |\s up.

From my favorite song...thanks, Jimmy.

And still twenty four hours,
maybe 76 good years,
It's really not that long a stay.

He's performing a "Labor Day weekend show" in Heaven tonight for all who passed before him. Jimmy was a summer tradition for me and my family for over forty years. I shall miss you, Jimmy, and all the great music and times you provided me. May your family, friends and band members find peace and solace from your amazing life.

Absolutely.

I just learned this song on guitar and will be singing it this way all weekend.

I’m teary eyed. He was a part of our lives. He was the background music at our party. Saw him only 29 times.

I’m bummed. This one hits hard. We went with phriends who are no longer with us.

Sail on, Jimmy.
You brought us a lifetime of great music, memories, and friendships.

Checked my phone and had texts from friends, many of whom I haven't talked to in a long time, all checking on me and letting me know they are thinking of me today. It's been fun going back through concert pictures, tailgate pictures, and stories of past tour dates.

The 5:00 Somewhere flag is flying proudly (though at half mast) outside the house today.
Fins up for all the good times.

I haven’t been on here in years but it’s the first place I thought of after waking up to the news. Society knows the party songs, but the BN community understands the layers underneath. It seems fitting he would pass on Labor Day Weekend, and I’m glad he had his loved ones surrounding him.

Sail on, Jimmy. You will be forever missed but your legacy will live on. Take care my American friend.

When I lived on Long Island, I used to see Buffett every year at Jones Beach and an occasional show at Madison Square Garden. The first time I ever traveled to a Jimmy Buffett concert was 23 years ago when he played Las Vegas on my birthday. I still have the t-shirt I bought that day (and yes, it still fits), I'm wearing it today.

Thanks for all the good times and good friends.

Fair Winds and following seas, Jimmy. It was a "lovely cruise" indeed.

Jimmy was part of the soundtrack for my life starting back in my college years in the late 70s. For some reason, I kinda drifted away from his music during the 1980s, but a PBS special back in 1992 called Jimmy Buffett - Live By The Bay
(about a concert at Miami's Marine Stadium) brought me back - and I've been a Parrothead ever since.

Thanks for everything - the music, concerts, books, good times, andf memories with friends.

This is a very sad day. He was a big part of every summer for me and my family. His music has been the sound track of my life and kept me sane these last few years. We will miss you Jimmy!

Last time I saw him was in '19 in Vegas. He skipped OPH. All I could think of was not shouting "Not Yet".

Sail on Jimmy
