Merry Christmas WED @ the MSC

Post by Dr.Corona »

Good Morning & Merry Christmas gang!

A pleasant Christmas Eve spent yesterday after brothers venture to eye doctor.
Was able to make it to daughters for 11 am opening of presents with her kids.
Then late afternoon Christmas Eve visit with Lynn’s nephew’s family & step mom went well. Although, I have no idea why but every year they put the movie Grease on. The nephews wife & daughter know every….single….line in the movie & often sing along with some of musical numbers. They are crazy!

Today will be just Lynn & I eating Turkey, dressing & Pecan Pie. Pretty dang simplistic, but will be enjoyable before heading back to work tomorrow.

God Bless

Good Morning Everyone!

We are heading to the beach at 10 with some new neighbor friends for Bloody Mary's & Mimosas. Then back home to work on the turkey, ham, stuffing and other dinner sides which we will enjoy with 3 other neighbors.

Our community looked lovely last night as one of our homeowners spear headed a "luminary" project. There were quite a few homes that had them lined up on the sidewalks and it was an amazing site. Of course there was one scrooge who posted on our Community FB page asking why most of our her neighbors knew nothing about the activity......which was mentioned at least 4 times on our page. My thought -- if she knew about it why wasn't she spreading the word. Oh well, there's one in every crowd, right :o

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!!!

Not much planned here for me, and I am okay with it. Enjoyed the Christmas lights with coffee and did some clean up by putting away boxes and bags for another year.

Might treat myself to a movie later this morning. Never been to the movies on Christmas Day. Thinking Wicked shouldn’t be crowded, which is another perk. I am rather fond of almost empty theaters anymore.

I hope everyone was a wonderful day full of love, peace, and authentic joy. 💕
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......

Merry Christmas everyone.

Why am I awake so early? It's 6:15 in Las Vegas. [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif]

Jason Aldean opened a bar in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago and I went there last night, there was an awful cover band playing. They did Freebird and it was embarrassingly bad. The singer was terrible and the guitar solo didn't resemble any version of Freebird I ever heard before. Then just when I didn't think it could get any worse they played Stairway To Heaven. Led Zeppelin should sue them for musical malpractice. But at least my beer was comped. Oh, they have a John Deere tractor behind the bar.

There's a Cuban restaurant opening in the Flamingo, Havana 1957. When I walked by Monday there was yellow caution tape all around the perimeter and the barstools were covered in plastic. It was the same yesterday but there were a lot of people there. I stopped and asked one of them when it was opening and she said Dec. 26. I go home on the 26th but my flight isn't until 11:30pm so if it isn't too crowded I might stop in and have a Cuban sandwich and a beer.

Merry Christmas to all and a Happy Birthday to Jimmy!
I think my menu has changed since the youngest Daughter's Birthday is Sunday and she requested Chili. Not sure what we're having today but we won't go hungry. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

Good morning, Merry Christmas, and Happy birthday Garry and Jimmy!! [smilie=hearts.gif]

I awoke at 5:45 thinking I had my Dr. appointment today, but it's actually tomorrow. Oh well, I had a quiet morning with stuff on TV and the Christmas tree lights.

Making breakfast soon - just some bacon/eggs/cheese/bagel sandwiches.

Cameron and Sarah over later, just to open a few gifts. E and I will have our traditional Grilled Cheese and tomato soup.

Hope you all have a very Merry Day, Ken, Linda, Debbie, Mel, Tammy, Larry, Tom, and those who stop by. :)

We had beautiful weather at the beach. We stayed under the pier since it was out of the wind. The drinks & snacks (which included freshly made crab cakes) were awesome as were the drinks.

The turkey is in the roaster and the ham is ready to go into the oven in a few minutes. Nana's stuffing is made and will bake part way through the ham's time.

Enjoy your day everyone!

The Yard House has about a dozen house beers. They don't brew any of them themselves, they contract it out to real brewers. One of them is a hazy IPA. I like hazy IPAs but the last three times I was here it was tapped out. They finally have it today, it's pretty good.

Christmas is done and dusted.

A belated Merry Christmas for yesterday.

The day was fairly low-key here at Chez Rabbitz. There forecast was for well over 100°F so up early to get a few things done, like putting a gazebo over part of the pool and arranging the umbrellas. I felt all resort-worker-esque!

Then off to a local wine cellar that opens especially on Christmas morning, so everyone in the village can catch up before the proper Christmas Day onslaught. Everyone brings plates of food and the wine flows quite freely. We got home about midday, had a snooze on the lounge, then a few friends dropped by over the course of the afternoon.

It turns out, that while some jumped into the pool and thought the gazebo was helpful, it was just too hot to sit outside under the umbrellas or the verandah - so the Air-Con got cranked and inside was the coolest place!

Again I hope everyone had a happy Prawn and Ham Day! (Yes, it's too hot over here for the 'traditional' roast for Christmas!)

There are 3 bartenders at the Yard House today, one man and 2 women. One of the women has a tattoo of the grim reaper on her arm, it goes from her wrist up to her elbow. Very attractive, he said sarcastically.
