Prepping for Food WEDNESDAY@ the MSC

Post by bodypainter »

Good morning BN. Some cafe patrons are travelling while others, like us, are staying home. Anne cooked most everything and hauled the food to my aging parents, so my mother could host the meal for 8. That was a lot of work. My sister would drive from Atlanta, hardly lift a finger and act like she did most of the work.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning Bill and Debbie.

When I had my accident last month the police officer who responded to the call gave me a ticket. When he handed it to me he "strongly suggested" that I show up for my court appearance. I took that to mean that at the very least the fine would be reduced or it would only be 2 points on my license instead of 4. My court appearance was 9:30 this morning. There were about 20 people in the courtroom and one of the police officers who was there started calling people one by one. When he got to me I went up to the front of the room and he asked me if the ticket was from an accident. I said it was and he said it would be dismissed. Shocked the hell out of me but I didn't complain because the fine would have been @232.00. :o

When I left the court I went to the supermarket. There was a big fat guy shopping and he was wearing a t-shirt that said CREMATION IS MY LAST CHANCE FOR A SMOKING HOT BODY.

I am going to visit family today about an hour away, but tomorrow is all mine, and I'm grateful. It's my first holiday all on my own after many years of drama in a marriage that was not much other than drama. So excited to be in my own place. Just me and a friend and a nice meal. Looking forward to it.

Just Lynn & I for Thanksgiving so prep is a bit on the lighter side. She's doing some basic Stovetop stuffing, she picked up some spaghetti salad & a pecan pie. We've got frozen veggies if we need em. She's not a veggie person so that'll be on me I'm guessing.

Larry, I know here in Michigan I've heard if the officer who wrote the ticket doesn't appear & the "defendant" does tickets seem to be scrapped on a regular basis. I'm guessing with your BUSY schedule the $232 dollar savings turned out to be worth your time :pirate:

That's the way it was in NY and I think it's like that here too. The officer who wrote my ticket wasn't there but the officer I spoke to didn't ask for any information other than was it the result of an accident. Then he wrote "dismissed" across the bottom of the ticket, made a copy and gave the original back to me.

 Hi there! I was on water when it was 34 degrees. It got up to 45. The sky had beautiful clouds with 2 bald eagles soaring overhead. Our Christmas lights are on a timer, but it didn't come on and we tested all the strands. One short cord had several plugs. I played Clark Griswald and found the short cord was dead. I traded cords and LIGHTS!

Larry, I'm impressed you beat the rap.

Mel, that is a very nice shot!

As a goof I'm going to Wicked and sing Paranoid out of key if the morons sing during the movie. Then I will proceed to poop my pants and change in the aisle. Take that you TikTok intstragram x brain dead twits.

Oh. Have a good Thanksgiving.

Hello!

Sorry I missed Tuesday at the MSC. We were in travel mode from SC to FL. No traffic issues which was awesome.

We had a nice casual dinner with Mitch and bets and Mike and Colleen.

Today we hung out at the flamingo cove pool, had great conversation and are waiting for Mike and Colleen to come back here for dinner. Bets made beef stew and mashed potatoes. The pool water is a great 82 degrees. 😊

We are SO thankful foe these folks (and many of you BNers) who we’ve the pleasure of meeting over the years and the friendships we have formed. ❤️
