All packed here, and ready to hit the road. I'm at work for a few more hours, E will pick me up, and we're off to Hays, KS. About 5 hours, including a stop or two along the way.

We'll get to the Tulsa area on Wednesday around 3:00, check into hotel, order pizza, and head to his parents house. I'll need to make a few things Wednesday night so I can get the rest done on Thursday. AND we'll be celebrating our Christmas on Thursday, too. As E said, "Merry Thankmas"!!

I had an appointment to donate platelets but my hemoglobin was low so I was deferred. I'm having lunch at Old Chicago now. It's almost the end, they're closing Sunday. They usually have 40 beers on tap, they're down to about 25 and everything is $3.00. Somebody just ordered a Guinness and he got less than half a glass so that's another beer they're out of. The bartender told him he wasn't going to charge him for it.

Hey y’all. Two-fer-Tuesday was a radio staple by me, too.

Safe travels, Penny & E! No road tripping for the Limes. Bunch of appointments and stuff tomorrow so did all my prep and stuff today. Will just be me and the mister, Jammie’s and football all day. Perfect for me. Keet was here this weekend and I sent him back with all the side fixings. And pie. He just needs to grab a turkey and will have a Friendsgiving at their apartment. We’re due for a big old rain and ice storm up here so I’m very happy that we’ll all be cozied in wherever.

During my travels today I drove by a bank that had one of those digital time and temperature signs out front. It said it was 35 degrees. I looked at the thermometer on the dashboard of my car and it said 73. My car was closer to the correct temperature, I'm wearing a polo shirt and jeans because it was cooler when I left for the Red Cross this morning but I probably could have gotten by with shorts.

I hear ya on the new two-fer theme these days Bill. Have 2 pills I do twice a day.
When I began to get into recording from one medium to others (LP's to blank cassettes & burning CD's from my iTunes I borrowed the radio's format of doing Double Plays & even advanced it to Four Plays in my recordings. I'm the kind of person that more than not prefers a sample of a single artist rather than just a song by a different artist every....single....time. This way I can get a bit of a mix.

Happy trails to Penny & E & any others journeying for their holiday. I'll be a homebody this Turkey Day.
Am going to a blast from the past concert this coming Saturday....Tommy James & the Shondells. I'm guessing none of the original Shondells will be there performing but I'm hopeful the original Tommy James will.........

The Shondells key boar player grew up 10 miles from me and they played in our town during their heyday.

I saw TJ and the Shondells when they opened for The Beach Boys back about ‘67 or so. Also on the bill was the Young Rascals.

We're safely in for the night in KS. Was a good drive. Best part of the day was a car that was probably driving 95 that flew past us. About 30 minutes later we saw the same vehicle pulled over by the police.

We ate at IHOP, in the same parking lot as the hotel.

Off to bed, we're up early-ish tomorrow.
