So ticketbastard also does this little trick of not making all the seats available at first. They like to withhold some of the better seats until the cheaper seats are sold. In this case since the show is so close I'm not sure they would do this, but I know I have gotten great seats for Alpine a couple of weeks before the show before as blocks of seats that were unavailable since the on sale date suddenly became available. Im talking about whole rows down pretty close to front. Its all a game to them, to see how much money can they extract from fans. I don't know how they are allowed to operate in this way.msu#1 wrote: ↑May 15, 2023 3:07 pm There are still $143 seats around and some 73 but the 43 are sold out.
It's pretty ridiculous that any venue and ticketmaster have official scalper prices.... After the Taylor swift debacle you would think most artist would state they don't want dynamic pricing. Just sell all the tickets at a reasonable price for that seat ... This is just ticketmaster trying to get that sweet old school scalping money they missed out on in the 90's

Re: 2023 tour dates
For those that are complaining about the delay in concert date announcements, Post Malone just released his July tour schedule. Hopefully Jimmy will announce his soon and hopefully they will be all at once, or at least only a few days apart.

I think, especially at last minute shows prices should be affordable so we can meet, tailgate, enjoy, spend more money on a venue beer, possible T-shirt. I suppose that's not up to ticketmaster....I imagine I'll be spending some bucks. No problem. Usually is the situation. Come on roulette wheel to Pine Knob or Chicago!!!

Yep....
Jimmy's doctor appointment didn't go well.....
So something is up...
At this point maybe it's time to shut down the summer and come back next year.
I'm thinking about making a video for my own entertainment putting out reasons why the time is now for a Margaritaville music Festival....

Maybe it's not medical.
How was the show selling with such little notice?

It was posted on the Paris Parrothead board that Paris is off for this year. I think Jimmy should take this year off -- we will be here next year.

Re: 2023 tour dates
Well considering Jimmy himself said he had a checkup and was then in the hospital I'd say that's pretty definitive it's medical.
It was too much tequila . . . . or not quite enough.

Re: 2023 tour dates
When ozzy called it quits this year I posted on the Facebook page that Jimmy was two years older than Ozzy and people should start appreciating every show more....
Some people lost their damn minds and went full attack mode on Ozzy ..and totally missed the point ..and well "here we are".

Could be a vocal cord issue. He has been in Boston 3x since December that we know of seeing a doctor so it must be to see a specialist for something and Mass Eye, Ear, and Throat is the best hospital in there world for that stuff. They treat musicians for vocal issues all the time from all over. Just speculation of course.
The good news is whatever it is he hasn't been taking it easy the past several months based on his social media posts, he has been out and about doing all sorts of things, including shows, so that is good news that it doesn't require him to be off his feet.

Re: 2023 tour dates
The most important thing is his health. He’s a performer and a showman and that amounts to a fierce desire to perform for his adoring fans. I would rather he take the summer off and come back when he feels up to it, and not be living up to his fans’ expectations and desires. He has provided me innumerable memorable concerts and for that I cannot thank him enough. Will I miss him if he doesn’t tour this year….. definitely yes, but it would be selfish to ask him to tour when he is not in top form. I love him too much to ask him to sacrifice his well being for a summer show. Peace and love, Jimmy. See you on the flip side.

I’ve been fortunate to see Jimmy 8 times since 2012 and I would rather Jimmy take care of his health and enjoy life than thinking or worrying about touring. We will always have his music and our memories.

True, my mom was seen by a cardiologist at Mass General many times and had heart surgery there. But it's not like he has stayed off his feet the past few months so hopefully it is just those pesky vocal cords or something like that and not the ticker.TommyBahama wrote: ↑May 18, 2023 2:17 pmThe also have some best cardiologist in the country. Wow! You sound so selfish!!! YOU don't know the health issues. Good grief. Find a different artist cause you sure don't have parrothead compassion. We that care will send well wishes and support our hero.
