Slow start to the day here at Ringville. Had some French press coffee and "surfed the internet" for a little.

Now we need to get moving. Kevin has to get a few 40-lb bags of salt for the water softener and I need to get some food for the week.

Probably stopping by a local bar to hear our local musician friend Heather Vidal (who plays regularly in Key West)......adios my friends.

Snow kicking in later this afternoon, perfect for the snowfest just up the road in Frankenmuth. Except that driving could get a little dicey.
Who knows Wouldn't mind getting out of the house tonight for a bit. All work & no play makes me.....hell I don't know what it makes me.......old I guess.

It must be at least 10 years ago, I was in Las Vegas for a Buffett concert. I was walking down the Strip and there was a guy in front of me who had a shaved head. There were 2 eyeballs tattooed on the back of his head.

Uncommonly warm weather today. It was up to 55 degrees. I went for a walk and later sat out front
of the house with a tall rum and coke and watched people go by. You don't get to do that too often
in January around here.

Had a okay visit with Mom. She was less sleepy, very talkative (but most of what she says doesn't make sense). Then a liquor store stop and a few groceries.

We're in for the rest of the weekend. It's gonna be COLD, getting down to zero and below tonight, tomorrow, and Monday. Brrr..

Ham, pasta salad, and corn for tonight - Beef stew, salad, and rolls tomorrow.

Just doing laundry and watching "Restoring Galveston" for today.

We used to take our kids there when they were real small to swim in the heat poll at the hotel.. Then to the Christmas store...
