Morning, pholks.

We're off to NJ for a family wedding. Not looking forward to holiday traffic but at least the weather looks good.

Hope everyone has a wonderful long weekend. :wench:

G'morning ladies, and BN! :)

No big plans for us this weekend. Working today. Tomorrow is a grocery shopping day. Sunday is the Indy 500, so we have special food planned. Monday we might be visiting a family friend in medical rehab for shoulder surgery. That's it! :D

Off to the work place. At least the sun is shining again, and we'll be in the 70's!!! 8)

Morning, BN. It's in the 70s and very windy. But not complaining.

I have a 10 day weekend coming up. No plans for the first three days except to sleep in and clean my place up. The last five days include Bob Seger at Jones Beach and a festival out in NJ.

At work physically. Mentally, I'm already done. Have a good one. 8)

After we were teased by two beautiful sunshine days in a row, it’s back to reality today in Eastern Iowa.
Severe thunderstorms going on for the next 2-3 hours, along with 50 MPH winds, and this will be followed by heavy rain the rest of the day and into the night. It’s 8:45 AM, but outside it looks like midnight with lots of lightning. Lots of flooding north of here, but, so far, not in this area. Two fatalities in Western Iowa on Wednesday from tornadoes.
All this going on, and I have to drive up to Cedar Rapids in about an hour (30 miles north of here) to take a certifiably crazy sister to an Oncology appointment.
Going to be an interesting, if not adventurous, day here.
Probably safe to say I won’t be working at the minor league baseball game tonight. [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

We've got no set plans other than shopping for new bedroom furniture (ours is 35 years old and ready to be moved into our son's newly purchased home).

Church on Sunday but that's all we've got on the official calendar.

Good afternoon. Coastal Carolina is still alive in the Sun Belt Conference tournament but it's already 88 degrees. I don't think I want to sit in the sun for 3 hours at a college baseball game. Maybe I'll wait to see what the weather's like Sunday and go to the championship game if it isn't too hot.

It’s a beautiful morning here on the west coast. Going to head over to the sand to do some yoga. Then I want to go to my local nursery and try to purchase the correct kind of Milkweed for the monarch butterflies that are in the worm state on a tropical Milkweed in my backyard. Bought it last year on the advice of a employee at Home Depot. I released about 10 last year but upon further reading up on the subject I found out Skinny Leaf Milkweed is the ideal food for California monarchs.

I was hoping to do a small yard sale in my driveway on Sunday and Monday this weekend. Forecast says there’s a possible chance of showers on Sunday so I’ll wait and see. I got a bunch of stuff that’s too good to just goodwill. I might put some stuff on Craigslist.

I think I made a good decision not going to the baseball game, we set a record high today. It's 93 degrees and the heat index is 99. :o

Hi there! I waved at Limeville as we drove down east. I had fried scallops and a tall wheat beer for lunch. We headinto Bar Harbor in awhile.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Afternoon BNers

What a great day!
Went to In N Out for lunch and then found the venue. Wow...stunning. on the bay with sailboats bobbing. Talked to Joe, rhe Roadie awhile. Nice guy.
Then we walked to the Midway area and walked 3+ miles. So pretty. Found the big statue and Bob Hope area.
I could live here.

Love kayak fishing - even the little ones feel like whales!
I use plastic worms.

Hope you & Anne continue to enjoy your vaca!
