If any of you see Maui Deb please tell her I send my best. I met her at Hershey this year and really appreciated her hospitality. Have fun and fins up!

Not going to be there, but was at the show at Berkeley tonight and Jimmy said he was looking forward to relaxing in Key West next week. Don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but keep your eyes open...
And the walls that won’t come down
We can decorate or climb or find some way to get around

In the back of our minds, we have been hoping that the late Jesse Winchester's performance slot was going to be filled with a tribute of Jimmy covering Jesse's music that he has recorded or performed. Just a glimmer of hope.
Either way, we are hitting the road this morning. Mr. Utley is riding shotgun. See you at the end of the road!
Sell Your Stuff, Keep the Dog, Live on an Island JB & Sonny Cat & Way Mr. Utley

he shows, he shows. he has too much trouble w/ security, or something else.. meh. every year there's the rumour he'll show. there are other acts coming in for gigs in town, there are other acts scheduled at the Casa. 3000 folks scheduled to show up, there will be a thing or two to do even if he doesn't.

We will be making a tequila run today as our supply is running low (how does that happen) and praying to the parrothead god for more sun. And we still aren't registered for MOTM.
a) Denny's Latin Diner and liquor store, good tequila supply/collection.
b) not like it never rains in KW..
c) if you weren't registered prior to 10/1, it isn't going to happen. Email confirmations and followup directions have been out for a wwek or so already.
Weather report getting better and better! Time to get my tan on.......
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

This year they're allowing late onsite registration R2 (see prior page). But it costs BIG TIME! $150 per person. That will put a dent in my bar tab next week so I think I'm passing. I think?
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!
I know it's been covered before but seems like conflicting stories abound. So in renting a car from Lauderdale & driving down to KW I've read about options wherein you "pre-pay" for tolls from the rental company. I have read where if you don't you get "charged" when passing the cashless tolls & you end up with a bill from the rental car company weeks later. I've also read some pholks didn't do the pre-pay, yet end up receiving NO bill later for the tolls from the rental company.
Any new updated news regarding this?
THANKS!

Last year I went to Publix , you can buy a sun pass for I think 5 or 10 dollars , activate it with a credit card number , I put 20.00 on it. Just make sure you cancel it when you get back or they will add the difference to keep it at 20.00. The other option is take route1 , no tolls

I don't want to say to go ahead and use the toll roads BUT the last time I rented a car at FLL and drove to Key West, we did not receive a bill from the rental agency. I don't know if we were lucky or its common practice. Just a little info.
Getting ready to head to the airport for my journey to KW. "Way down at mile zero in the Florida Keys, ain't no one complainin' 'bout the life they lead".
