A rather simple dish that goes well with burgers, steak, chicken, vegetables, etc. or by itself as a side.
1 onion, chopped
2 T butter
16 oz sliced mushrooms (I use 2 8 oz pkg of whatever my grocery store has at the time)
8 oz sour cream
1 tsp dill (I used dry)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
1T flour, if needed
In a skillet on medium heat, saute onions in butter till transparent.
Add mushrooms, cook till slightly golden
Stir in sour cream and seasonings
If the sauce is too thin, stir in flour (I have used up to an extra 1 T on occasion)
Cover and cook over low heat till sauce thickens.

Re: Mushrooms in Sauce
I really enjoy eating mushrooms. So when I saw this recipe I had to try it. Was it delicious. I enjoyed it as a side dish as much as a topping over chicken. Definitely Yumalicious! Thanks for posting it.
