My BOATS bracket is a disaster, but otherwise, I'm in pretty good shape.

All of my final four songs are still in, so it could be a lot worse, I could have my wife's bracket.

She has CIP winning it all. :o
So did my brother! :o

I'm working on posting updated brackets and schedules.

Just a quick note, the last concert that I'm counting is the February 10th concert in Tallahassee. I'm not going to count the Anguilla shows, if only because it's easier to copy and paste the info from older polls than to retype everything, and also because the list that determined the seedings of all the songs has now changed.

Also, would anyone who is good with Photoshop be willing to make "trophies?" Any help would be greatly appreciated. PM me with suggestions or ideas. :)

Sorry, I'm not going to get around to posting the next 3 games tonight. I'll be sure to post 6 tomorrow. I've just been really busy and haven't had a lot of time to get onto BN. :-?

Looks like we're going to have Son of a Son of a Sailor facing off against He Went To Paris. How will we ever decide???

I thought a few in the first round and a couple in the second were tough, but this one is going to take the cake for hardest decision.

And it looks like the Elite 8 will include a lot of SYKBH.

Yes, that's the sad part, but when you think about it #1 is playing #3 in the College BB game going on right now.....

6 of the final 8 are SYKBH.

I guess there IS a reason he plays them so much.....

Wow, the Elite 8 is really tough. As to be expected I guess.

So far I'm on the losing side on 3 of 4 matchups.

And you wonder why Jimmy doesnt play more of the older tunes in concert. I think this bracket explains it all. I was really hoping Cowboy in the jungle and bannana republics could pull off some upsets

Final Four are all ballads

Post by Kasey »

I'm not a bit surprised 3 of the final 4 are SYKBH. There IS a reason he plays them so much.

What surprises me is 3 of the 4 are ballads, and the 4th (OPH) is at least half ballad, kind of a hybrid.

What a bunch of sentimental fools we are!

The really nice thing is Jimmy's concerts are long enough he can work in stuff everyone will enjoy. He usually goes 3 hours, but he could easily go 6. Now, there is a great idea! :D

Okay, in the final we have one from Beaches, One from Boats, one from Bars, and One from Ballads.

But how does the final 4 pairing stack up? Is it Beaches vs. Boats, Bars vs. Ballads? Or Beaches vs. Ballads, Bars vs. Boats, or.....

I was just going to make the same point. All the talk on this board wanting Jimmy to play less SYKBH and more lesser known songs because that's what "Real Parrotheads" wants now looks baseless.

Now no more complaining from anyone here that he always plays the standard 8-10 greatest hits songs at each show.

Well, you could argue that he should at least give Cheeseburger, WDWGD, and Grapfruit a rest since they all lost in the first round.

Be fair, though...CIP lost to another SYKBH in round 1.
