Alpine Valley 2021

Post by StingrayWI »

Just curious if there are any rumors floating around about July 17, 2021 and the possibility of an Alpine stop, since Chicago has not been rescheduled? Perhaps it's just my wishful thinking, but I would love to be able to look forward to that! _/)_ Fins up!

My people in the know have not said anything. I think it is possible Jimmy or Alpine is waiting to see what happens with Covid
before any contracts are signed.

Covid cases are at an all time high now so I don't see a chance of getting it under control enough for large shows in mid summer. I'd focus on 2022 at this point.

If we can get a vaccine in place in time, what better place to do mass inoculations than concerts!!

Has the United Center show been canceled or just not rescheduled?

Alpine so far has only one show. The rescheduled RATM on July 10th. Rage are playing 2 shows at the United Center and 1 at Alpine. The obviously don't have a radius clause.

It does seem like that Saturday July 17th needs to be filled.

Fins crossed for Alpine!!!

Yesterday I googled for giggles and it was sold out. Looked now and there are two rooms left at $500+/night. :o The rack rate there is <$100.

Haven't they raised rates in past years for dates that never happened in years that Jimmy skipped Alpine?

I could see the United Center being canceled because of restrictions in Chicago and Alpine being booked because WI does not have any compactly restrictions.

I just saw that announcement. RATM is now at Alpine 6/9/2022.

This tells us two things. Alpine will be open in 2022, but as of now has no 2021 shows.

I also noticed that the 2022 Rage show is on a Thursday. If my memory serves me correctly, Alpine has not had a show during the week in many years and I think the County used to not allow week day shows.

Crickets. I would be very, very surprised if Alpine Valley had any concerts this season. There is no doubt large venue operations will be different between states like Texas, Florida and those like Illinois, Wisconsin.

I had the same thought when I heard that news. It's hard to speculate on anything these days, but keeping my fingers crossed!

FYI... It'll always be called Miller Park in my mind!
