LOL!

No, not yet. Maybe a few years down the road though, who knows. :pirate:

This weekend is our big River Regatta festival so be aware that traffic will be crazy at the bridges.

Take a look here, it's a great festival but it gets packed downtown and you need to get thru downtown to get to OPH from your new home on the Gulf. :D

Thanks for the heads up. That definitely changes how we get to Anna Maria. Now the challenge is to not have so many drinks that I end up putting my name on a condo unit. I'll report back n OPH later this weekend.

How 'bout a few favorite restaurants around IRB? In particular, looking for conch and cuban sandwiches.

IMHO, you will need to leave IRB for your two requests. We love the Conch fritters at Shells restaurant. There is one in St Pete Beach and another in Tampa.

Barracuda Deli in Seminole and St Pete Beach has an awesome Cuban, as does the Columbia restaurant and the Alessi Bakery in Tampa.

Others may think different. :pirate:

Salt Rock Grill in IRB is great for a nice meal on the water. My favorite Cuban Sammich so far is at the Kooky Coconut, also in IRB. It's a no frills beach bar type atmosphere but the Cuban is the real deal.

Thanks, everyone! The Coconut was on our radar. Also, looking at Keegan's. Looking forward to getting away.

The Raw Oysters at Keegan's are always fresh and delicious if you like them!

Yea we went over a couple weeks ago. The condos are pretty non-descript on the outside but have all the bells and whistles on the inside. 2 bed-2 bath start at $460k. There is a nice marina and a great clubhouse with pool, bar, restaurant and amazing views. The one thing I didn't find out that I was curious about was the HOA fees. I'm sure they are through the roof.

In IRB now. We’ve hit Kooky Coconut, Keegan’s, Lulu’s, PJ’s, and Crabby Bills. Been terrific thus far.

Nice. We actually went to grab ice cream last night at Tropical Ice Cream & Coffee and for the first time noticed the area where lulu's and PJ's was. It was a great little find and we look forward to checking them both out.

Might also want to try Sandy's Restaurant around 23rd for breakfast as well as 18 on the Rocks. I lived off of 7th in IRB a couple of years ago and miss it, don't miss it this time of year however...I believe that Lulu's is actually owned by Crabby Bills so the food will be good. If you go a little inland about 2 miles, there's a place called Savory's on Walsingham, on the north side. Well worth the trek off the beach. Enjoy.

Fun to read about the IRB explorations! We were at Ricks Reef Sunday morning about 8:30 for their Sunday Bloody Mary Bar and by 9.00 the place was packed. We are ready for Spring Break to end and the Snow Birds to go back to wherever they come from!! :pirate:  :P
