His songs have been covered by acts like Kenny Chesney, Sawyer Brown, Hank Williams, Jr., David Allan Coe, Charley Pride, Nanci Griffith, Alabama, Wendy Waldman, Barbara Mandrell, and Jimmy Buffett. He has been a recording and touring member of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band for many years and is one of Buffett's favorite artists to co-write song with. Jimmy Buffett has covered McAnally's songs on many of his albums.
McAnally has gained great acclaim and positive reviews as a solo artist. In addition to discussing his incredible and vast history as a songwriter and recording artist, Mac McAnally joins us to talk about his new record "Down by the River," on Show Dog Records.
