Hoagie TUESDAY @ the MSC
Good Morning BN'ers.
For those in the know, what is different about a Hoagie as compared to a Sub??
Thanking you in advance for your insight & have a great 14th day of September!

Good morning Ken and BN!
I think it's got something to do with the bread/roll that is used?
Hey Molly - if you can read this, check in and let us know how you are down there.

Re: Hoagie TUESDAY @ the MSC
Good morning.
When I lived in NY we called them hero sandwiches so I don't know the difference between a hoagie and a sub.
The minor league baseball season ends Sunday. The Pelicans are playing at home this week and I'm going to Friday's and Sunday's games. They're locked into 2nd place in their division, the 1st place team has 22 or 23 more wins but with 6 games left the 3rd place team is 7 games behind them. Only the top 2 teams in the league make the playoffs and the Pelicans are out. If they win all 6 games this week they'll have 63 wins but there are 5 teams that have at least 64 wins already. At least their manager reached a milestone. He's been managing in the minor leagues for more than 30 years and earlier this season he moved into 4th place all-time in wins. Last week he reached 2,200 wins. I don't think he'll make it to 3rd place all time, he needs 190 more wins which would mean 3 or 4 more seasons and he's already in his 60s.

Re: Hoagie TUESDAY @ the MSC
Sub, grinder, hero, hoagie oh my! They seem pretty much the same to me.
Going to have lunch with a few ladies at the local Mexican restaurant. A couple that used to work at the shop and a few who are still working there.
After lunch I have some shopping to do...it's a hard job, but I think I'm up for the task.

Re: Hoagie TUESDAY @ the MSC
I think initially a Hoagie was on two thick slices of bread vs. a Sub which is on a sliced bun, but I think nowadays anything on a sliced bun is called a Sub/Hero/Hoagie/Grinder/whatever.
I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but sometimes they have really good ideas…..

Yep pretty much different names for the same thing.
It depends on where in the country you are at the time.

Whelp - it's 'official' - Cameron will be having his tonsils removed next month. Has to stay on antibiotics until it happens. Fun times.

Ouch! Surgery was the norm as a kid. I feared it, but liked the idea of ice cream. So many friends had their tonsils removed that I figured it would happen. Nope, still have them.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Not surprised, with that picture you shared. He'll feel so much better when it's all over.
Find out if they will also take the adenoids - infections can hide in there, too.
