Final July FRIDAY @ the MSC
Good morning BN. We are on the down hill side of summer already.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning Bill and BN!
Too busy at home this morning - getting final packing done, and loading up the car. Just a short weekend to Breckenridge, back Sunday afternoon. Not the best weather for the state, but happy to get rain! As long as it's not too much, causing more mud slides on the roads and such.

Good morning Bill & Penny:
Not much going on here today, last day of the Judge's vacation so it will be busy in Chambers 5 next week as he "gives back" all the work I've been piling up for him......

Good morning. We have a heat advisory today, it's supposed to be 96 degrees with a heat index of 108. It's going to be an indoor kind of day. I'm surprised we made it to the end of July before our first heat advisory this summer.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

TGIF, peeps.
Mixed weather bag all week, and cool, too. We even woke up to low 50s this week - in July!
My sister and BIL have a place near us, we're walking over there for dinner.
Sending phin power to Rabz & Toni. /)/)/)

Feels like 104°!!!
So of course, Larry just mowed the yard!!
I have tried to get him and yard service but he wants to do it himself.
Btw...he is enjoying both sets of bluetooth speakers.

I hate mowing, but I'd hate paying to have the yard more. I mowed for a buck an hour in my youth. I don't think I could negotiate anywhere close to that today.springparrot wrote: ↑July 30, 2021 4:55 pm Feels like 104°!!!

This is the easy bit, sitting watching TV for a couple of weeks is doable. I do long for a proper coffee and a hamburger though

Oddly, mowing is one type of manual labour I don't mind. I pretty much switch the brain off and go with the flow.bodypainter wrote: ↑July 30, 2021 6:06 pm I hate mowing, but I'd hate paying to have the yard more. I mowed for a buck an hour in my youth. When I was in my late teens and early twenties I used to head to the local rifle range (where I was a committee member) and do the mowing and other greenery maintenance. They left me to it and I was never ever asked to attend the monthly working bees because I was already doing more than 98% of the membership. I learned to let my mind wander on those days and it never felt like work.

As promised, we finally got a brief sunny break late yesterday.
This is the view from our back door.
