Good Morning Land of all things JB.
Will do my best to make it a Marvelous Monday, but that's not really my normal M.O. Monday normally just a stepping stone to Terrific Tuesday
Enjoy your day gang!

P.S. Have tried oysters twice.....much like Wine.....has not been something my taste buds get excited about.

Good morning boys and girls. :)

MANY years ago E and I ate at a restaurant in TX and there was an issue with hand washing - and we got the Norovirus. We couldn't eat oysters for YEARS. Still can't eat them raw, but recently tried a fried one and I loved it. :)

Crazy busy day at work - so I best get back to it.

TTFN!

Good morning.

Marvelous Monday reminds me of calling the company I have the service contract with for my HVAC and plumbing. The receptionist answers the phone "Hello, it's a marvelous Monday," or terrific Tuesday, or wonderful Wednesday, or fabulous Friday. I forget what she says on Thursday, maybe that's terrific too like Tuesday.

Good Monday morning BN.

HOT HOT HOT. Got all my outside chores done before 9, the pool was not refreshing with the water temp of 91 degrees.

No raw oysters here, last attempt I was able to keep 2 out of 4 down.

I may have to cut back on my trips to World Of Beer. When I was there last month, the bartender told me she was leaving. Today was the second time I was there this month, same new bartender both times. It wasn't too crowded either time but she's really slow and she has zero personality. I can get bad service closer to home and if I want to see a dull person I can look in the mirror.

I love oysters. Might as well enjoy them before we kill them off too.

Hi there! The orthopedic surgeon is sending me to a hospital an hour away for shots, that if they work, are good for a year. If the shots don't work, I'll need a replacement.

On the fun side. Anne made a simple meal when we were dating that included oyster stew. i spooned through the broth and asked,"Honey, where are the oysters? "In the pot."she replied. "May I have some/" I asked. She asked ,"Why?" "Well, I'd like to eat them." I replied. "You eat them?"

Her mother only used oysters to flavor the milk. Anne followed her recipe.

Being lucky enough to live along the gulf coast, we have a few great oyster places. A dozen raw at our local hotspot (Dave's - not that Dave but a different Dave) has a dozen for $9.99 raw and a selection of different homemade and popular sauces. His count of dozen is normally around 15 to 17.

If they are on ice behind the bar for anymore than a day, they are chucked and considered not fresh.

In my 17 years of eating raw oysters, I have experienced two "bad" ones. That will make you sick nearly the instance it hits your tongue, and you won't eat another for months. In my wife's case, years. A bad oyster is not to be messed around with, and you do need somebody who is knowing what they are doing shucking and serving them.

Evening, peeps. 8)

Oysters rule. Raw, baked, fried, any which way. [smilie=yum.gif]

There used to be a Buck-a-Shuck night at a place in town. My personal record is 18. :P  :wench:

Mr. Lime makes some insane baked oysters with parmesan panko crumbs and pancetta.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...
