I've been researching my family roots and got a notice today that a relative had posted a family photo. I didn't recognize the relative or the name, so I clicked the "How is this person related to me?" button and was told "this person is your 6th great aunt's brother's wife's second great niece's husband's third great niece." A "distant relative" I'd say....

Good you made it to Ringville, John. I have a dozen mini paintings as door prizes waiting for the next Parrotfest. I stopped and looked at some while in the storage closet.

Today is the farthest that I have traveled from home since this crap hit the fan in March last year....feels good to be getting out there again........not to say that I won't be visiting my favorite hotel / casino later this week. .....

Wow……I started to get a swollen throat about 15 yrs ago when one day my body decided to be allergic to raw apples at the age of whatever 61 minus 15 is

I had to make an airport run yesterday morning, and made the mistake of attempting to come back home via I-10 and the Garcon Point Bridge....THAT was a big mistake......!!!!!


Repeated the trip this morning, as sitting at the airport bar awaiting a few plane rides......

Good afternoon and happy fathers day. Had a great time at Kevin and Linda's yesterday.
Grilling sausages, drinking dark and stormies, sipping rum, sampling home made stout and ipa, and telling stories.
Slight detour on the way home due to a nasty fatal accident not far from there. Good to see one of my favorite couples again.

The sky got really dark about 45 minutes ago and it just started raining. It's coming down in buckets. I'm glad I didn't go to the Pelicans game tonight, that wouldn't have been a very nice ride home from the ballpark.

Sooo, pretty tired after spending 3 hours in the ER with Cameron today. Abscess behind a tonsil. Tried to drain it, and it wouldn't. IV of saline, antibiotic, steroid. Blood work. CT scan of his neck. Those IV's finally helped when he got home, and the swelling went down so he could eat some mashed potatoes, apple sauce, and chicken broth. Could NOT swallow this morning.

Off to bed - stupid Payroll Monday tomorrow and then I have to cover the front desk when I'm done.
