I'm also asking peeps to inundate Radio Margaritaville with requests for Somewhere Over China to be played 7pm CDT this Saturday night, for Garry. I sent a request but a whole bunch more might help, who knows.

Everyone has different plans for this holiday weekend. It is our wedding anniversary Sunday. Garry will be in our thoughts wherever we are. Let us all raise a glass and toast to him. How does Saturday at 7pm CDT sound? We may be all over the place but we can still virtually phlock for our Wino. I'm in. Plan to sit outside my RV and blare some Buffett. I'll make sure Somewhere Over China is the phirst song. Then I imagine I'll be peeling onions.
Should be 8pm EDT.
Please update us here if ya can.

Re: The beginning of the end for yours truly
It's been many moons since I've posted on BN, but Garry is well worth the time spent trying to remember my password to get here.
Garry, i love you brotha, but your body is tired and is aching to go to the other side. You're in limbo, you're not with us anymore, and there are many awaiting your arrival on the other side. You've fought the good fight, and those of us still here will look for you when its our time, but now is the time for you to relax and go to them.
Vaya con Dios, mi amigo. We'll dance and play together again soon.

Re: The beginning of the end for yours truly
I haven't been on here in ages but Garry got me back here. It's where I "met" him and I guess it's fitting that I come here to say goodbye. Sail on my friend. The world will be a little less special with you not in it. I will meet you on the other side and we can watch a Yankees game at the Hooters up there together. I will miss you until then.

Re: The beginning of the end for yours truly
I'm not good with goodbyes. Especially goodbyes like this. I just hope for peace my friend. You have suffered enough and from the 1st time Candy told us about your condition. We / I am thankful you hung around longer. I still have the birthday wish message you sent me back in Feb. and appreciate it. With all that is going on with you. For you to take the time out to send me a message. I will always save it, like the memories we have shared over the years. You were a friend to the end, Even though you were a Yankee fan. Love you my brother, thanks for the memories and friendship you have provided to so manygunthermoose wrote: ↑May 29, 2021 10:03 am As did Matt....I wish a peaceful sailing....See you later buddy !

Re: The beginning of the end for yours truly
Welcome back to everyone who has come here for this occasion!!! I'm certain that Garry would be thrilled to know that he's contributing to an uptick of BN activity. It was through BN that so many of us first found Garry, which led to so many of us meeting Garry, and so many of us loving Garry. I'm proud to be participating in the toast tonight with y'all.
I once told Garry that he was one of my Top 10 favorite humans. I stand by my statement.

Re: The beginning of the end for yours truly
I sometimes pop in, but I knew there would be something special here as well,
But coming here, made this so real….almost like well if it’s not on BN it can’t be true right…
It only seems right, to say good bye here as well…
Garry,
Thank you for making my world brighter. Your such a special guy, and i am so honored that you called me your friend.
I have no doubt Kathy, your Mom and so many others are waiting for you. Peaceful journey my friend. Calm sailing for you as you journey home…
PS, don’t forget to hug Shane for me, and thank you for always listening and talking to me about him the last several years. (Yes you can smack him too) [smilie=hearts.gif] [smilie=hearts.gif]

I should have bought some Corona when I went beer shopping, when Garry was still drinking beer that was what he always drank at Hooters. I'll have to settle for raising a toast with my beer in a Corona FIND YOUR BEACH pint glass. Hope you find your beach on the other side.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Re: The beginning of the end for yours truly
there is a toast to you, my friend at 8 my time tonight, my friend. I couldn't toast you without being here and listing in "Somewhere Over China"
He'd be home when he got back.
Much love to you, Garry. You are so loved and we are sending gris gris and prayers as you sail on.
Take care and tell Conlulu that we all love her and we are glad she was there to greet you once you hugged your mom and your wife.
