It was 86 degrees today and the heat index was 98. That sounds like a good excuse to have some ice cream.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

I hope it gets better soon there mate.
Although I reckon that if the cat scan finds a cat in your ribs then that might explain the discomfort...

Re: Anyone Here??? THURS @ the MSC
Well, we are in the new house.
We arrived a couple of days ago - another 3 weeks until the furniture gets here (dependent on Covid lockdown restrictions etc). So we are using our camping gear, that we left here a few weeks ago when we took possession.
This is day 4(?) of 14 of our supervised self-quarantine. This means we can quarantine here, but the authorities can/will drop by randomly to make sure we are abiding by the quarantine rules.
The cats arrived yesterday after a stressful week of boarding, van rides, plane flights, etc.
Although this is a somewhat rural town, we can still get supermarket and department store deliveries so at least we can eat...
I've been busying myself with some gardening, the previous owner was a landscaper so the gardens, though small were immaculate - I'll never be able to maintain it like they did I also found a few minor repairs to do.
The big issue we have right now is no washing machine and we aren't allowed to go into town to the laundromat. We can't even go down to the creek and bash the clothes on a rock like the old days or recent years in the islands. To top it off it is mid-winter, hard frosts in the morning and cold rain during the days, so nothing will dry anyway. Only 10 or 11 days to go.
For the first time in our lives we've just ordered electric blankets for the bed - never needed such a thing before! If the sun peeks out at some time soon I take a piccie or two.

This sounds like a movie script. Maybe a horror movie script I can’t even imagine going through all of this. I sure hope it gets better for you real soon!!!Rabbitz wrote: ↑July 29, 2021 9:07 pmWell, we are in the new house.

Omgosh (((Rabz and Mrs. Rabz))) How incredibly frustrating it must be! But, since it's out of your control... just got to go with the flow.Rabbitz wrote: ↑July 29, 2021 9:07 pmWell, we are in the new house.

Re: Anyone Here??? THURS @ the MSC
We are very OK with this. There have been too many idiots flouting the self-quarantine rules and putting communities in danger.
We had our first visit yesterday, the local copper knocked on the door and was very friendly and it really was more of a "check on welfare" visit. He asked about our food delivery arrangements and whether we needed any form of assistance.
Besides, it's the first outsider we've been able to talk to in several days!

Only about 10 days to go until freedom day
Just back from our first approved outing - we had to go to the local hospital to get our "Day 5" covid tests.
Now back safely ensconced in our house, keeping the cats company.
