New Album
I'm confused...I thought that it was scheduled for March 30th? I would wait and wait and not ever think of complaining, but I told people March 30th, because my birthday is shortly afer that!!!

License To Chill
We all have that lisence...so I say CHILL. Jimmy is a whole package. He has never been a conformist, and that is what makes Jimmy JIMMY. Why should he be expected now to be just what everyone thinks he should be? If you aren't prone to like change, so be it, but I wouldn't be so quick to judge. If you give it a chance, you would be the true Buffett that Parrotheads are. I don't like country music, but have had a chance to hear a bit of this side of Jimmy, and the new is as good as the rest. Jimmy is all about the fun side of living. His concerts and music are meant to make all the "icks" that happen in life go away for awhile. Kudos to him for making it right for any kind of music lover!

Sweet!
I for one, am excited about this. I love all of his old country stuff! If I could just get him to play The Great Filling Station Hold Up live once, that would be sweet. I will definitely be buying this one...

I gotta be honest with you guys. I have been listening to to Jimmy for around 15 years, since I was like 6 or 7 and my dad got me hooked. Since then I have done everything in my power to collect as many of his CD's and records as I can. When this new album comes out (whenever that may be..lol) I will be the first in line. I know there will be thousands of other people with me taking time out of there lives to run in and grab a CD that we have probably never heard. In my opinion, that is what makes us great. Deep down we know this CD is gonna be awesome, just like all his other ones. It may or may not be mainstream music that EVERYONE likes, but we will find reasons to like it, we will listen over and over again and find a few songs that once again we can't live without. To everyone out there who is gonna hate on Jimmy for doing his thing, just wait, at some point you will be getting that CD like you did with all the others, and kicking yourself in the ass for not getting it sooner. And to all the REAL Buffett fans, I'll see you guys in line on the release date!

Maybe I'm confused. Am I the only one who listens to most/all of Jimmy's music? Gypsies has a counrty twang. Pencil thin mustache has the oldies thing going. Heck, Reggae accident has an island feel like NO other. Conformist??? Who??? Jimmy?? Come on...are you serious? That's why we all love him. He speaks him mind and is a real person. Selling out??? Naw, just being Jimmy and making music and doing it with a great imagination. Paint a picture of some lyrics. This guy is great!
"Mommy, when is Jimmy Buffett coming to OUR house? We go see him ALL THE TIME??" (Actual quote from my 5 y/o keet)

Country
Listen to his first 5-6 albums. They are full of steel guitar, and 2-step beats. Jimmy was country before he was anything else.
.....don't talk about tomorrow tonight. I love the now.......
