Larry Raykovics sent along this tragic story: I wanted to share with Parrotheads everywhere that a former television colleague and fellow Parrothead friend of mine by the name of Tom Pecorelli was tragically aboard American Airlines Flight 11 out of Boston on Tuesday. Tom and I had worked together at a television station in South Florida before he moved on to Los Angeles where he worked for the Fox and E!Entertainment Networks. My fondest memory of Tom is undoubtedly my fondest memory as a Parrothead. He and I spent an incredible hour backstage with Jimmy Buffett a few years ago discussing sports and especially baseball as Jimmy is not only a fan but part owner of the Fort Myers Miracle. I remember Tom’s excitement while we awaited Jimmy’s arrival for the interview. The picture I took of Tom and Jimmy and the one he took of Jimmy and me have been on my desk ever since. So in memory of my friend Tom, I say “thank you, Jimmy” for this lasting Parrothead memory.

From the Hollywood Reporter: A memorial fund has been established for Pecorelli’s widow, Kia Pavloff, who is pregnant with the couple’s first child. The fund has been set up in the name of Kia Pavloff c/o Bruce Brar, Washington Mutual, 22001 Ventura Blvd., Woodland Hills, Calif., 91346. Pecorelli had worked at Fox Sports Net since it started in 1996.
