In a column entitled “Margaritaville Threatens Democracy” in the 9/25 edition of the Northampton, MA “Daily Hampshire Gazette”, Bruce Watson blames the lack of knowledge among voters in the United States on the “Margaritaville Factor” which he describes as “…a numbing combination of sunshine, semi-clad bodies, sunscreen and cable TV.
